Tonale. Now with more plug-in hybrid electric vehicle-ness (PHEV) on-board, Alfa Romeo calls it the Tonale Plug-In Hybrid Q4, with Q4 being representative of their all-wheel drive variant. For our purposes, ease of understanding and avoiding repetitious mouthfuls, we’re just gonna call it the Tonale PHEV instead.

The design with its coupe-like lines and characteristic wrap-around tailgate has been lifted further by a striking new 3D effect Singleframe grille, revised bumpers and new look alloy wheels. The full body-colour paint finish which was previously standard for S line versions and above also now extends to the base models.

The Q3 gets two 2.0 TFSI petrol engines variants: 170 bhp or 211 bhp. While the 177 bhp Q3 comes with front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission, the 211 bhp TFSI will have Quattro (all wheel) drive with a seven-speed S tronic gearbox.
